SPT200 Portable Tracker
The unit is about the size of a matchbox and contains a high powered GPS engine and antenna, rechargeable battery and GSM technology. Simply add a mobile sim card to make the unit operational.
When you phone the unit it instantly sends you a text message back with its exact location which can be entered into Google Earth etc to view exactly where it is. A hard wire kit and plug-in antenna are also available allowing vehicle installation if required.
The best feature is that if a 'pay as you go' sim card is used there is no monthly subscription. The only cost is that of the text message giving you the location. This makes it ideal for individuals or companies just wanting the location of a vehicle without paying for expensive fleet management solutions.
As a portable unit it is ideal for locating children, pets, equipment etc. Other features include:
- panic button - will send current location to up to 4 assigned phones
- heart beat - unit will automatically send a text once a month so sim card doesn't get disabled by network
- low battery warning - unit will text you when battery becomes low
- out of signal text - unit will text its last position if it goes out of GPS coverage
- emergency mode - unit can be set to automatically send location every minute
